Refunds

These rules apply to commissioned workforce studies (Staffing Pattern Study and the related readings). This site does not sell physical goods, course seats, or software licences at checkout, and it does not take card payments.

Eligibility

A refund may apply to fees paid under a signed scope letter. Informational pages, journal articles, and the Veve listing are not paid through this website and are not refundable here.

Timeframe for a full refund

If you cancel in writing before we confirm that the intake pack is complete, the retainer is returned in full within 14 working days of the cancellation notice.

Partial refunds

After a complete intake pack is acknowledged, work has started. If you cancel before the draft is issued, we refund the unused portion after deducting time already spent at the day rates stated in the scope letter, with a written timesheet. After the draft is issued, the study fee is earned; we will not refund because you dislike a factual conclusion.

Non-refundable items

Agreed on-site travel already booked at your request, and certified translations you asked us to order, are non-refundable once purchased. We do not bill “materials packs” we do not use.

Process

Write to contact@buildenginegrid.digital or telephone +18637736956 with the scope letter date and the legal entity name. State whether you seek cancellation, rescheduling, or a refund of a retainer.

Processing time and method

Approved refunds are returned by the same method you used to pay the invoice, within 14 working days after we accept the request. Bank charges levied by your bank are not added by us; we cannot control receiving-bank fees.

Cancellation and rescheduling

You may reschedule a walkthrough once without fee if you give five working days’ notice. Later changes may be billed as an extra half-day. We may cancel if files are unlawful to hold; in that case, unused fees are returned.

Deposits

Flagship studies usually require a 40% retainer to hold the calendar. The retainer is credited against the final invoice.

No-shows

If the commissioning manager misses the agreed walkthrough without notice, that session is treated as delivered. A replacement session is a new half-day fee.

Work already started

Glossary writing and reconciliation count as started work. You remain responsible for files already sent; we will destroy or return them as the scope letter states once the account is settled.

Exceptions

If we miss a delivery date stated in the scope letter by more than ten working days for reasons within our control, you may cancel the remaining work and receive a proportional refund of the unearned fee. Force majeure (including prolonged power or communications failure at the site of the files) extends dates rather than creating an automatic refund.
