How a study runs

This page is the working calendar for a Staffing Pattern Study. Shorter readings (turnover, coverage, productivity briefing) skip some weeks but keep the same order: glossary, reconciliation, draft, walkthrough.

People talking across a long table during a working session
  1. Week 0 — Scope letter. You name the site, the months, and the job families. We reply with a fee, what files we expect, and what we will not do (payroll, advertising, ranking people for dismissal).
  2. Week 1 — Intake pack. You send the files as they exist. Shorena writes the glossary. If a column means three things, the pack comes back with questions rather than guesses.
  3. Weeks 2–3 — Reconciliation. Headcount is tied to starters, leavers, and internal moves. Coverage is sketched against overtime. Night and weekend patterns get their own rows.
  4. Week 4 — Draft. You correct facts only: wrong site names, missing leave codes, a shift that was a one-off event. You do not rewrite conclusions to flatter a department.
  5. Week 5–6 — Final and walkthrough. A signed PDF, a one-page annex for finance, and up to ninety minutes with the commissioning manager. On-site days in Tbilisi or Kutaisi if the files still live on paper.

What you do not need to invent

A new roster template, a cleaned “analytics extract,” or a narrative about culture. Bring the messy files. If you also keep a local copy of tables in the optional desktop utility, that is your record-keeping; the study is still written by people.
